tomorrow marks the last time that the A'Div Boys Raffles Floorball'10 is going to play as a team.
it's the final game in this heck of a season.
and for the J2s especially, it marks the last time we get to play for Raffles.
it's also the last time that we get to play at CCK sports hall.
this may even be the last time that some of us play floorball competitively.
the significance of this occasion has nothing to do with who our opponents are - indeed, the scoreline is secondary tomorrow. what matters more is the very fact that we ARE playing with this team, playing with the conviction that we are going to give it our all.
nothing but our very best.
hold nothing back, and fear nothing, for tomorrow we walk into the court to do what we do best - playing and dictating OUR game, playing and enjoying OUR game of floorball.
tomorrow we walk into the court with a quiet confidence, knowing that we have trained months in preparation for this, that we have literally sweated bucketloads, that we have endured pain and sacrifice (bruises, scrapes, abrasions, sprains) beyond measure, and that nothing can take anything away from us.
for we will never back down - we have trained hard and prepared well for anything that may come our way. and we are unstoppable on our day simply because of who we are, and what we are capable of.
Coach once told us to ask ourselves this question after one of our pre-season friendlies: "If the season begins tomorrow, are you ready?" For if we were yet to be ready, we would never be truly ready.
now turn that question around, and ask if we are ready for the final day of the season. look in the mirror, confront the very depths of your soul, and arrive at the answer.
we've got a score to settle, a wrong to make right, and one final chance to end the season on a high. nothing less.
